Continuation from last week's pack activity..

Wasn't able to sleep the night before and Marvin, Minghui and I were spamming the whatsapp chat with:

Minghui says she will TRY to reach shelter at 9.30am, which hasn't been happening since 12381273298170347095730954 years..

and then marvin came up with some not-so-motivating suggestions, (cause I will be on the losing end):

Holy crap.

& so I lost the bet.

She totally regretted after reaching the shelter because all she did was to sit on yenyen's throne and stoned, while looking at joei & me playing with the dogs.

Her face is tired daooooooooo. WAHAHAHAHA, lets try betting this for 1 month ;)

 We went to the beach via Api Api route, while waiting for Ms Minghui to catch up, we slacked at the hut only to realized she had taken another route -___- no wonder we didn't see her..

 At the beach..

Alah, I forgot the exact convo between a parent and her kids commenting our dogs as "Ye Gou" (Strays), if I recall correctly, shes telling them not to get near the dogs cause they are strays?

 

Yes they are mongrels, some used to be strays, but hello! all of them are on collars and leashes hor!

Why must stereotype the dogs this way?

This is why we need to educate the public on strays, some older thinking people always have the perception that mongrels = dangerous = stay away = will bite.

Siao ah! We really need more of those wiser parents who will teach their children what to do when they see stray dogs, eg remain calm, stop shouting or doing those weird actions (many kids tried to bark like a dog, stomp on their feet to scare the dogs *PULL HAIR*)..

Even I feel like biting them, let alone the dogs.

Chilled by the benches, and as usual Tui + Yenyen comfortably sticked their ass to the most cosy place - under the bench. Totally refusing to move.

Managed to drag Fat Tui out for a short run..

Minghui was stucked with Louis boy the whole time, and we can hear him whinning from afar,

and we went back after that.

LOL what a way to end this post.
Cant think of a better ending.

Mutts and Me Short Stories

Emo Momo finally stepped out of her hermit shell :)

 

One year ago, she was an untouchable dog, because she tried snapping at anyone who attempts to pat or touch her. Tested and proven one.

She will always lie in one corner and give this face:

 

lifeless, sian, stoned, emo, depressed whatever you call it

 

She's always the forgotten one, too quiet until we forget her existence in the shelter...

And also because we don't really dare to get near her.. The only person than who can leash and walk her was her rescuer, and I wonder how did she managed to put on the collar for this scary dog..

I think its also because of her skin colour that makes her look less adorable la.. This one cant be helped.

 

Well, after almost one full year at the shelter with her, with new and old vollies coming in and out, Momo learnt to accept our presence around her.. Slowly, she learnt to come to us for food, sniffing us and allowing us to pat on her head AT TIMES..

 

She took a greater change in the past few weeks by greeting us and running around when we are feeding treats, smiling and even standing up to beg for food! Power of food motivation uh.

 

On this particular session, we decided to bring her out to pet movers with the rest.

 

Vivien took up the role !! WHOO HOOO !!

 We enclosed her in the smaller compound because we are not sure if she could get along with the other dogs outside.. Safer for her..

And on another day, I had my first solo walk with Tui as I had to leave earlier than the rest..

 Brought him for a few rounds of run before I ended my short date with him. Quality time spent :)

2 of the Zeus Comm dogs - Batman and Robin joined us for the packwalk to punggol !

 

I took Robin and Minghui took Batman..

My hand almost got torn off just by walking from the kennel to the carpark as Robin was flipping and running and turning around, up and down @.@ which was what Minghui had pre-warned me about LOL.

 

But once we stepped out of the shelter, he was rather easy to handle..

Guess its the stress coming from both sides of the other kennel dogs that makes them so cranky..

Momo came out too! And she was enjoying herself by rolling on the floor. Caught us by surprise :)

2nd March 2013

 

I forgot where we went for packwalk already..

Only remembered us going to find Yenyen at the adoption drive someone near Katong.

Shes totally sweet with Cam, gave camcam many slurps of kisses when she sees him..

 

 

One of the interested viewers..

Yenyen stayed there for a good 2-3 hours and was dying to go out..

 

Hopefully someone will look pass her weight, see her beauty and adopt her..

Shes really generally nice and easy to take care, doesn't really bark, don't really move around, u just need to give her a corner or some where for her to stare into space can liao..

After that it rained super heavily and while waiting at the bus stop, a car sped past and got me all drenched from head to toe. Thanks a lot sia!
