Our first professional photoshoot session by - Photography by Sandra , & short stories

I know im super overdue with all my posts.. I need to blog like 2-3 stories a day to catch up on the events in my life man. Oh well~

 

 

21st Sept 2013

 

Our destination of the day was THE BEEEACCHHHH.

Jack and Joyce were super well prepped with props and decorations for the dogs as we are going to have a professional photo shoot by a kind lady Sandra. She was in the Vet science profession for a good 20 years but decided to pursue her dreams in photography and had obtained her Diploma in Professional Photography recently.

 

We were all super excited for the dogs as THEY FINALLY CAN HAVE PROPER SELF PROTRAITS OF THEMSELVES (instead of the usual lousy quality blur blur/ heavily edited pictures taken by me).

 

We spent a good 2 hrs plus with the dogs taking turns for their shoot.

 Sandra was really patient with the dogs and us, humans HAHAHA. She even bought treats and squeaky toys to capture the dog's attention. Some dogs like Baby and Ernie are born to be dog models. While my Tiger and Coco @.@ We had a really hard time making them sit still yo.

 

The really fun part is when you see all the humans trying their best jumping around and making high pitch noise at the back to capture the dogs' attention , totally no image one.

 

Ok, I shall let the pictures do the talking. REALLY ALOT OF PICS SIA!!!

I went to shelter OTOT looking forward to walk my boyfriend.

What greeted me at the gate was something lying on the floor.

No, not bird. If not I wouldn't be taking pictures for you guys to see, I would have probably fainted on the spot if the bird was in that state *swallow my saliva*

 

It was a dead rat.

Okay lah, dead rat are considered a rather common sight in shelter. It's like the 4th time I saw one.

Last year while we were doing spring cleaning, there's this rat that was stucked on the fence until it became mummified already. Yucks.

 

 

What bothered me was HIM DOING THIS!!!

 

 

WTF..................................

ARGHHH!!!

I don't dare to go into the kennel as Im scared that he will bite the rat and run over to greet me and the corpse will bua on my leg. I will freaking die on the spot.

 

Tui picked up the rat and there's this criak criak criak sound coming out. I supposed its the bone ....

 

I stood there for awhile, feeling lost. And the next minute im jumping here and there screaming for  Help help help!!!  Couldn't contain the disgustingness even thou it wasn't a bird. And I refuse to go in with the rat on the floor.

 

 

After 10 mins or so..

 

And I realized nobody gives a damn about me.

Cause I was the only one there.

 

And no one could hear me because my screams were drowned by the dogs' barking.

 

Luckily I still remembered to use my brain. Although I don't always use it.

To go and find the bangala for help.

Byebye poor rat. sorry I couldn't help you, I hope you reincarnate with a better life next time.

The first thing I did when I went into the kennel was to wipe Tui's mouth and face THOROUGHLY with wet tissue. Arghhh..

It's HALLOWEEN, & our last pack walk

BOOOBOOOO~~!!!

31st Oct is nearing and every where is celebrating

Halloween

 how could we miss out such fun?

10 Solid hours in the shelter.. No joke.

It's our first Halloween together, and our theme for the day is black & orange :) Not limited to just top or bottom, because... heh heh.. u will get to see it later..

Well, thanks to Hongwee for sleeping at 4am, and waking up at almost 9am, we were late.... reached about 9.30am and the rest were already in the carpark with the dogs. Went in the kennel to ask Minghui which dog Im supposed to take, and my jaw dropped when I stepped into the last kennel - not greeted by shit this time round, but a Minghui in TANK TOP !!!!!!!

And i continued with endless laughter until i have to squat on the floor.......

i couldnt help it because all these while she never wear sleeveless before...HAHAHAHHAHA

and her face was like

Whats so funny... " I was in basketball team and I always wear this what....."

OK, then I grabbed Remy and went out to join the rest.

Fatty YenYen was Soooooooo UBER CUTE that day. She transformed into a fat BUNNY. Didnt manage to take a picture of her running and hopping around in her bunny ears. But I swear its so enjoyable to walk behind her and look at her big buttock swinging left and right with the big bunny ears.

Our destination was Halus. Got there within quite a short time (I think our stamina really improved), the isolated shelters were occupied but we decided to interupt a bangala worker's sweet dreams and gate crash.

And so we settled there with 16 dogs, of course he woked up, in shock.

The following hour was photo taking session...SPAM SPAM SPAM.

Soon after 3 more bangalas came and they just stand there to look at us and our dogs.

And even the bangala make new friends, with the dogs! Remy is one of them!

In animals' world, they dont judge you by your race, your face, your colour, as long as you treat them well..

(Except for Guinness to zahid)

Louis boy came to joined us not long after with Minghui and Nikki.

He was quite popular with the ladies e.g Yenyen, chilli and Hazel. But cant get along with the guys.

Hazel once again got rejected directly in the face, i think she has a "FML, not again :(" bubble in her mind.

Walked over to the dog park and I get to walk Indie :))

Woah, my first time walking such a big dog, the feeling is amazing (when the dog never pull la)..

The dogs headed right in the pool without much hesitation.... Indie and Miller were enjoying themselves while I bath in the dirty pond water ---> When they shake, the water is big enough to bath). Totally drenched. But its worth it la, Miller is so cute he keep putting his whole face in the water, dont know what is he trying to do..

 

Inside the dog run, the dogs played catching as usual..Richard, Me and NF Lynn tried jumpshots infront of everyone, looking like idiots but its damn fun!

eh, say easy hor, even minghui almost died... it was not an easy task to walk 8 dogs, let alone 12...

The dogs must be cursing us..

 

Because they didnt get to rest.. After minghui, its my turn, follow by NF Lynn and then Hongwee..

My arms became more toned after walking them... Really...

The 2 little Rs - Remy and Robin will follow the pack behind super cute, like 2 clueless souls.

Tui finally made a new friend, a stranger (dog) whom he can sit beside with, without growling or swearing. Its a Schnauzer... phew... So glad for him :]

Bought a leash from the mart @ $14.. The leash's gonna follow me for my VA journey ahead <3

I didnt know my hair so ghim until i saw this pic O.o

Went back to shelter and Pathrine was there already.

Bathed the dogs and she had a briefing with us about the future volunteering sessions as Minghui has stepped down. So from next session onwards, Pathrine and Tw will be the ICs of the kennels.

Dont know what lies ahead of us, by well.. We hoped the best for the dogs and our friendships to last.

Everybody, especially the 饭桶 were famished, so we went to West mall (AGAIN!) for lunch.. Help the bra aunty to boost sales.. hhahaha but failed. Nevermind, I will patronise her store more often..

2nd half of the day was spent in the last block. Our supposingly paradise.

Needless to say, the manlier jobs we leave it to Mh, Hw and richard...

The sun was merciless. We already so tired from the packwalk, it still shine so brightly and burningly (wth what kinda word is this?!) on us. So, my back chao ta alr..

The guys were nice enough to shift the whole cabinet to block us from the sunlight...("v")

We stayed till 6 plus 7 pm before wrapping up and tadah! Its dinner time..

The moon is out by the time we left...

and we practically spent our Breakfast, lunch and dinner time together.

Went over to E!Hub (which Mh has never been to before) for dinner, NO MORE WEST MALL, NO MORE KOUFU PLS!!!!

MH really made my day because

 "in the haste to clear her bladder after not visiting the toilet for 11 hours, she almost went into the gents @.@ ".

It was by far the longest day we had spent together, and the most tiring, but it was all worthwhile looking at the wall we have painted.... and not forgetting the fans, canvas, lockers, lights that they have fixed etc..
