Toy & Tui's first visit to our new house!

It's been awhile since we bring the 2 fatties out for some adventure!As most of you know, we have gotten our house keys back in Oct 15, but the dogs haven't had the chance to see it. 

And so we decided to bring them to our new place even thou it's empty now..

Co-incidentally, our project is currently having photo-taking sessions done by a nice lady call Brenda, and we decided to have our photo shoot taken together with our new neighbors ;D

The shoot was scheduled at a later timing so we head over to one of the nearest park - Seng Kang Riverside Park for a walk first. I LOVE THAT PLACE! Its so peaceful and quiet, AND GREEN!

Its so spacious that Toytoy gets to run off leash, ok she didnt really run.. cause after awhile she pengsan and... 

The slave needs to carry her while Tui go around doing his business.

The weather was rather good thus we decided to take some wefie together:

The hardest thing to do of all...is to take a decent pic together.

Over to the new place!

Le hubz had to keep running over to catch the little fat one back because she tends to live in her own world and explore the whole floor. Recall totally fail. 

Tui on the other hand knows how to follow us and listens to us.

Toytoy: Eh please la fatty spiderman, can you dont squeeze here with me, I no space already.

back in my current house, toytoy went straight into my room when she first came to our house.

Hmmm.. Somebody seems to like the karaoke room more ;)

After awhile, Tui suddenly walked over to the window area and sat there, machiam in deep thoughts.

Wonder what was he thinking? And he sat there for quite some time really. 

Despite having no furnitures, it seems like this house is perfect for sleeping:

Popped over to next door to take a look at our neighbour's place and left the 2 fatties alone for 5 mins, they are rather well behave i would say. Maintained in this position through out.

KONG ZoomGroom review #furforhope

This is probably the first time Im doing product review. Thought it would be good to pen down my thoughts after trying out the product.

Tried out KONG's Zoom Groom for the first time last week after hearing other people's feedback since i forgot when. I see it everyday but I didn't have chance to use it on Tui - he is like the best candidate to review this product! (Toytoy short hair la and she seldom shed so... nah)

Okay, previously I have been using the normal slicker brush on him - those with tons of small wire pins (it's in the kennel lah so I just use lor). 

Here's a quick comparison on the features of the 2 types of brushes:

Normal Slicker Brush

- Fine Short wire tips

- Comb like handle 

- Available in different sizes and easy to get

This is the most common brush that owners can find and uses, daiso also got sell small one $2 only. It does helps to brush out his stubborn fur but ...

1. Im quite worried that I might poke him accidentally if he moves, or hurt him if he happens to have certain semi-healed wounds around that area. 

2. The stubborn fur not only stick on his fat body, they also stubbornly stuck to the brush. It's super hard to take out one - i always use my finger to pull out (like what we do for combs) but I always ended up poking myself. Stupid or what.

*I can't find the end result of the brush, remember got take one but just lost in the sea of photos.. sigh*

Zoom Groom

- Rubber brisk/tip

- Soft and sturdy

- Ergonomic design for better grip

- Comes in 2 sizes- Regular and small (Tui uses Regular)

- 2 Colors - Raspberry and Boysenberry (Thou dogs are colorblind, their owners are not)

This Tui ah, after one side brush finish, he will auto flip to the other size for u to brush.
It's quite easy to brush out the fur but we did it for many rounds because he really has too much fur.

This is how the fur gets trapped. 

You can easily "peel" of the layer of fur and it comes out like this. 

IMO Zoomgroom is suitable for dogs with short and thick coats. Tui is double coated if im not wrong. Reviews on the internet says it's more suitable with short coat dogs too.

Maybe I should bring and try on Mimi the German Sherperd next time.

Toy & Tui goes to Marina Barrage

How did you spent your new year day? Lying on bed having a bad hang over? My previous years was spent in shelter if I am not wrong. Mostly all the PH were spent in shelter HAHAH.

This year we went to explore some where further! Or at least it's some where that Tui has never been to before. Toytoy went there one her first week at our house, lucky girl.

Reach liao reach liao.. let me go wee wee first.

Because there's alot of people at the usual spot (the open space where people fly their kites), we chose a different place to walk and chill at instead.

We stopped by a ... "Jetty" lookalike area to take some pictures.. Photo shoot ah.. 

Getting ready.. Somebody seems to be exceptionally happy about being dressed up. 

Toytoy: Ni bu shi yao pai wo meh?  (I thought you gonna take pic of me???)

Rested awhile before heading back.. 

On our way back crossing the bridge, we saw another Shihtzu.. 

And the owner stopped and ask: Is this toytoy? 

I stun tio. Turn out she's from Shihtzu club too!!

Toytoy: Mummy, can help us take a pic together zuo ji nian? 

Toytoy: After bidding goodbye to Fluffy and mummy, a family stopped by and request to take pictures with us too!! Aiyo so paiseh. I happily agreed. 

Tui had a little fan. The boy boy was curious and wary of Tui. Then his papa ask him to touch so he came over and gave Tui a pat..and then with a face full of excitement and satisfaction, ran back to his parents. Super cute.
