Largest Shihtzu Gathering 2015

The haze's getting from bad to worse. But there's only so much, or should I say, nothing much we can do to help the shelter dogs and community cats. Sigh.

Alright, have be missing in action since my last post in July.. 

Early this month (5th Sept 2015) we had our very first Largest Shihtzu Gathering during the PETAS Pet Show. 

As we are still considered a rather new dog club, we had limited resources - manpower and $$$. 

So an ad-hoc committee was formed. I was roped in because I helped to get one of  the prize sponsorship. The rest of the committee members really put in a lot of effort like Pauline, Skippy mama, Vince (John john papa), Melissa, Apple and our Emcee Aileen + a young girl I didnt catch her name. But she was brave enough to "host" the show hahaha. All of us adults all siam because stage fright. 

We had games, lucky draw, Eileen went up to demo on how to express anal gland, September Shihtzu babies cake cutting, photo booth and lucky draw! 

Our photobooth might seem abit, erm, not too professionally done but I would have to say it's alot of work and effort put in by Vince. All the props are his and he has to double up as the camera man for the whole day until his back ache like siao after the event ended. Nonetheless we hope everyone had fun! It was like a dream come true with SOooooooooo many Shihtzus around. 

Next year, we will be back. And if you would like to contribute in anyway to make the event a even more successful one, feel free to approach our admin aka Founder Ms Apple poh :D

John John's Barkday at Ah B Cafe (Short post)

When was our last adventure together? 

We are so so overdue.

About 2 months ago, we celebrated John John's (Toytoy's bf if you haven't know) birthday at Ah B Cafe. It is located at Sunny Heights, 110 Turf Club Road. Should you want to bring your dog for a dip, there's a doggy swimming pool at Sunny height (just beside Ah B Cafe, we haven't tried it thou).

Toytoy: I am readyyyy to go gaigai!

We are lucky to have the back seats which is full of bean bags and rather spacious, and cosy! 

Didn't manage to take any pic of the whole area myself so... koped the pic from google to give you a rough idea!

Birthday Boy

They say John and Toy mixed too much together and now his tongue is out as well LOL!

We had a few furry friends - Kiera and Quinn with us too!

But Quinn was too scared so she slept/ stoned at another corner most of the time.

The dogs LOVE the bean bags. At one point we just put them each on a bean bag and they all nua-ed there like no tomorrow.

Shihtzu Gathering at Happy 3 Bites Cafe

By far Toytoy and I had went to 3 Shihtzus gathering~
The first one is at Dee Oh Gee Café, follow by T.A.Z and the last that we went was with Ah Wai at Happy 3 Bites.

 

I personally like the space at Dee Oh Gee and T.A.Z as Happy 3 Bites is really too small and cramp for gathering. It's a good place to have a romantic time for brunch/dinner with your pet but not for large group, their service I must say.... is awesome. Despite our large number of orders, the staff still maintained their service and politeness.

 

Toytoy had a couple theme with her bf John John that day...
