Exploring Lorong Harlus and Punggol Waterway~

This gonna be a short and random post, got inspired after I change my blog banner hehe.
I always try to find new places to explore with the dogs at every opportunity (in other words, when I have free transport :P), so by far here are the places we've visited, you can spend a weekend and bring your furkids there too!

1) The place we frequent most in the past 2 years:
Lorong Harlus Nature Reserve
Why this place? Because it's the nearest, nicest and most walkable place around Pasir Ris Farmway.
It is quite a long drive from the main road

The road that leads to Harlus

We used to have packwalk there and just chill and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

There are 2 resting place for you to sit and rest while taking a break, so don't worry.

We go there like every other week, but it is always nice to come here.

Take a break from the city life and enjoy the serenity, you will love it.

It is also a common place where people have their pre-wedding photoshoot!

Ps: On lucky days, you get to spot Otters running around too. Remember to hold on to your dog ah! Tui wanted to chiong towards the otters and I see the 2 poor otters literally running for their lives.

I swear they are quite big and long.

How to get there?

Most of you probably have to drive there if you are bringing your dog, so.. ON YOUR GOOGLE MAP LAH, the lady will direct you.

For those going there by public transport without your pets:

You can take Bus Services 3, 83, 85, & 569 Alight at Blk 166A, Riviera LRT station

You might not want to go from Pasir ris because you have to take a bus to the main road outside Farmway 2, then walk sibeh far in like perhaps 45 min, by the time you reach there you pengsan already.

2) Runner-up:
Punngol Waterway

Why? Because it's just a bridge away from Lorong Harlus. hahaha. So at times when we have more energy, we will walk over to the other side and enjoy even MORE scenery!People usually go there on weekends as a family trip, there are quite a number of cyclists too, so do take note and try not to off-leash your dog.

Wah, I think my photography skills not bad hor?
#thankstothefilters

*The sheltered area on the left has water coolers, so you can refill your water bottle and at the same time quench your pup's thirst.

A big area for them to roll about too. If you are lucky, you can spot some Charmander small monitor lizard or char-melon there too.

Then you walk over...

Cross the bridge...  omg sibeh fat. Just ignore okay I am too lazy to edit away the excess meat.

Looks like a little island.

And when you cross over:

Okay this is one super old #throwback about 2 years ago..DONT YOU MISS THEM ?!
Left: Joy, Yenyen, Tui and Nicole

Super old throwback again. Spot Hongwee, fengyi and huiyi ^^ like 2 years ago?

& while the humans starts taking tons of instagram-worthy pictures..
The fidos will find a way to entertain themselves~

#throwback of Yenyen rolling on the round haha
Does her thigh reminds you of the turkey you ate last xmas?

#filterdoeswonder.
Got seksek anot this picture.
Hinthint: Find this in the previous Pets magazine issue!

For those with younger kids, its a good place for them to explore and get near to nature instead of the usual shopping malls and staying home to play ipad. ;)

DISCLAIMER: THEY ARE NOT MY KIDS HOR HAHAHAH.

There's a SUNRISE BRIDGE where you can have an overview of the area, nice breezy place to chill with your dogs :)

We took some "family" pic the previous time we went there hehe.
On the Sunrise bridge

This is a #throwback pic of Swissroll chilling there. See the golden sunrays on him?

After the trip, you can walk further down to have some food at the near by food eateries (Sorry ah, I know there are a few cafes/ fast food/ restaurants around that area but I have not personally been there, so cannot advise you) Punggol people, if you don't mind perhaps you can share too?

Stay tuned to find out the other places that we have visited ! :D

Ciaos~
