The proposal

Ello! We are back!

Past few months has been sooo hectic I couldn’t really find time to update this space properly. Apart from the fact that nothing much has been happening in the shelter. Haha.

And yes, I am here to update about The Proposal before I start procrastinating till 2055..

Background:

Last October, Mr Wai suddenly jio me to apply for BTO one fine day while we were walking Tui at Pasir Ris beach. (IKR Singaporean way of proposing). -___-“ it was so random I couldn’t digest this “invitation”. We were just sitting at the bench and there's this couple happen to hold their ROM/wedding at the beach's cafe then he suddenly ask me. And I was still thinking, wah piang so hot. later the make up all melt. zzz.

Ok, fast forwarding our lives, we applied for Sales of Balance in Nov 2014 (Reason for choosing balance flat is partly because we hope to bring tui home before its too late. (Count: In 2012 Tui was about 2 yr old, if we were to apply standard BTO, we can only get keys in 2019/2020, by then he already like lao kok kok already..).

Got our ballot number in February and we were lucky to have gotten 61 / 121 units in SK area.

Came the day on 13 May 2015, we finally confirmed plus chop on our very own house when we selected our unit at HDB ^^ After one whole night of not being able to sleep because we really had limited choices on the units we wanted (PS: I super kia su because appointment at 11am I dragged Ahwai to HDB at 8am HAHAHA thought can jump queue but end up fail). But lao tian bo bi … we got what we aimed for and it turn out to be really good location. And on this very day, we got to know that we will collect keys on the 4^th Quarter of this year instead of 2016 and we had to produce our marriage cert!!! *FAINT* We kept thinking its Oct 2016 then that will be perfect~ But oh well. That’s when we start to rush everything within the next few months.

We decided to hold our Solemnization in October because 1. We might collect keys anytime between Sept to Dec, Oct sounds like a good choice in between. 2. Oct is also our Pat-torversary, 3. 10.10 falls on a Sat! So why not!

Wah I wrote so much but yet to reach anything on the proposal @.@ Please bear with me. Too much things to fill you guys up with. I shall stop talking about the ROM for now, shall leave it for another post ;) Ok, back to the proposal..

I’ve told Ahwai from the start that I don’t need an extravagant proposal, no need firework or book the whole restaurant, its as easy as 1 2 3 with one condition.. JUST BRING MY 2 DOGS ON THAT DAY. I even gave him ideas like can get the dogs to hold the ring and give me (Or was it I ownself imagine but nv tell him ah? Shit. Memory failing me).

But as days, weeks and months passed by.. he like no action leh?! So I kept bugging him that : Eh! No time already please. Oct coming liao!! Until I only feel irritated with myself.

One day when we happen to bring Tui to Bedok Reservoir on a weekend, we passed by the Forest Adventure and he had this stupiddddd idea to go and book a slot for BOTH OF US! Hello! I never say I want to join u leh. Can I sit there with the dog and cheer u???

I thought he was joking… and that after a few weeks he forgotten. (*Secretly happy in my heart, no need to go*) but another fine weekend.. He SUDDENLY REMEMBER!!! -_-. So while I was having my brunch he brought Tui over to the booth and booked. Im like sian diao… this time cannot siam.

18^th July 2015

Woke up in the morning, still in denial that I need to climb trees afterwards, I was seriously praying that its gonna rain before we start, but sadly that didn’t happen.

Upon reaching reservoir, I had this very strong and strange feeling that something is not right. The idea of proposal strike me and my heart was thumping very fast. Im like, don’t tell me its today. I AM NOT PREPARED OMG . As we walked towards the adventure booth, I saw people setting up party decoration and I almost hyperventilate in my heart……………………..

Then I realised.. Eh.. Ang mor. Ok, lame. Not even my friends or fam Think too much. HAHAHHA!!!

So we proceeded to the counter, filled up the forms and went to put our stuff in the locker. Le bf was checking on his phone at the very last min which I find it fishy so I attempted to peep and saw: Sembawang airbase. Ok, boring. (Work stuff again).

I was dreading the whole time but slowly resigned to fate that I have to complete these courses no matter what. By the 2^nd rope ladder my hands already jelly liao. The only fun thing was the zip line which I only have to sit and zoom down. No prizes for guessing what my facial expression was though out haha. One thing I need to point out was le bf was very supportive and encouraging during the whole activity (thou he failed to motivate me in anyway.) Halfway through our 2^nd zip, there’s this uncle video-ing us and when we land he was commenting: Wah very nice ah … I want take video and show my daughter so she can come also. Then he show us the video. Lol . Like that also can.

Fast forwarding >>>>>>> Else u all will fall asleep liao. Usually Ahwai will be the one to go first because I kia si. So same goes for the last zip line which leads us back to the main area. After he zip over, I was the only one left at the whole course. -___-. Abit scared. But at the same time I was thinking: Eh if I just sit here don’t go down can anot ah? Enjoy the breeze and maybe they will have to run back to check on me after sometime. Who ask them to put me as last one. But then after 1 min I decided to go la hahah. #useless.

Ok, as I was approaching the finishing pit, I saw this girl standing at the pit video-ing me like STRAIGHT IN MY FACE. My first thought was: This siao lang?! Need to video so near anot?! Why all the people today like to video other people.

As I get nearer I realise why this girl seksek one…………………………EH LOOK LIKE MY SIS LEH!!

Den I look at the ground area… EH!!! WHY EVERYBODY HERE?!

Guess what was I complaining?

Shit man i look like pumpkin -_-

Before I can digest, le bf already took the bouquet over and said some stuff I still cannot process but the next thing I said was: Tui!!! HAHAHA. Because Tui and Toytoy were present too! :DDD He was wagging his tail at me, awwww.

And so the proposal happened. I shall not elaborate because I was so paiseh.

PS: Oh you know hor... Actually his whatsapp chat the Sembawang Airbase one is actually the Proposal group chat!!! Wah this guy, so smart. He say cause once i see sembawang airbase I sure switch off one. And wont suspect. LOL!!! This one i give u 5 stars for knowing me so well. HAHA.

Weekly walks with #thatgoldendogtui

Meanwhile, we had our usual weekly walks with Tui the #fattyswissroll.

If we are lucky to have Mr Wai as driver, we get to go to Bedok Reservoir ^^. It's quite a nice place to bring your dogs to (minus the eerie-ness at night).

You get to enjoy the fresh air, spot some turtles and monkeys too!

Do look out for kids learning rollerblading thou, if your dog happen to reactive to noises and sounds.

Everywhere can be bed so long you enjoy it.

There's a WAWAWA Bistro Cafe near the carpark area, dogs are allowed if you are sitting outside. We brought Toy there for supper before and they are okay with it :)

They have quite a wide variety of mainly western food to choose from, price ranging from $10++ to about $30++. It will be a nice place to chill at with your human buddies and pooches after a long day.

Tui's staycation 30 June 2013 - 6 July 2013

OMG IM SUPER OVER-DUED!!

Cant believe I haven't even blog about Tui coming to my house for staycation!

Well, those that have been following my facebook should have been spammed by tons of Tui's faces at that point of time.

Hookay.

Tui went for homestay/adopted for about a month and he got returned because he chased the cats in the house. Well, everything happens for a reason and I secretly (ok, its an open secret now) "arm chio" in my heart. His rescuer called me while I was working and I immediately applied leave for the following Monday. IM NOT GONNA PROCASTINATE AND WAIT ANYMORE!!

HEHEHE. And so, on Saturday Feng yi kindly helped me to tong bang Tui back home after shelter session. In the morning he was still giving the super duper sian and emo face.

He is damn obedient and smart, got on the car himself and just lay there quietly. Occasionally sitting up to check out the surroundings outside.

Ok.. until this point of time, I couldn't really remember what are the exact things and strings of event that happened. I only know I truly enjoyed that whole week with my favourite boy and I wished he could stay... but because of the excessive shedding, my parents are gonna kill me. Papa and mama are very kind enough to let me extend his staycation from 2D1N to 7D6N. (Partly because he got itchy spots which he keeps scratching & biting that came just in time, and Jeanine also helped to psycho them that shelter environment is too horrible for his skin problem to heal. WAHAHHA)

He is a super duper good boy at home!! So readers, if you are considering of adopting a dog with low energy but good stamina, doesn't bark or run about like crazy dog ...
TUI IS THE MAN !!!

For the whole week, I only heard his bark once/twice when my papa keep asking him(tui) to sniff him -_-" and when my auntie comes into my room like a thief while we were napping. THATS IT. Other than that he never make a single noise.

Also, you can play mahjong, sing karaoke, play guitar, cook, fold clothes on the floor etc for all you want and he will just chill one corner.

You can play your comp and games and he will stay by your side without stepping and climbing all over your laptop

On the first night, we embarked on our first long walk around 6.30pm to BEDOK RESERVOIR because Aku tak ade (I don't have) car to bring him else where, we only have 2 and 4 khaki (Legs). But fret not! Because we are well-trained during our weekly packwalks

As the sun began to set, the kiasi me decided to just stay around the more crowded and well-lit area

Reached home at about 9 plus 10pm.

The next day/ Monday

You know the kind of happiness when its a MONDAY and you don't have to go to work, and you get to walk your favorite dog~~!!

A lot of people gave us weird stares, I guess its rather unusual to see mongrel in my neighbourhood.

But I bet for that one week, Tui is quite famous haha.

Because I bring him walk around my neighbourhood everyday.

His usual pee and poo grounds.

Super convenient because this big field is just directly under my block.

Went over to find Suk for breakfast cause he is the only one who is of walkable distance and not working on a Monday hahaha

Brought Tui boy to a kopitiam.

No issues. Cause he just nua there through out.

Can insert a lot of love love love anot~~

Oh.. Supposed to send him back to shelter that day, but managed to convinced my mum with the help of Jeanine and so we went to ECP :)

So nice to have you back at home with me again :)

Next morning while waiting for his rescuer to bring him for vet.

Specially woke up at 6.20am to bring him for his pee/poo walk..
and I have a superdog!

The rest of the week is mostly filled with:

Tui: "eh? you call me? time for dinner?"

lazing around at home together

Bringing him for short walks around the neighbourhood and ice-cream

Becoming a dog myself.

C'mon! im still a human :/

Somedays he's given rawhides, some days pork knuckle bones, chicken drumsticks, chicken feet etc etc etc. Despite me telling my mum NOT TO FEED HIM when Im not around, those words have gone into deaf ears.

My routine for the rest of the week was:

- Morning wake up for morning pee/poo session.

On the first day he was super excited the moment I wake up he come running up to me, wagged his tail vigorously. 3rd morning onwards he ji tao just wake up, look at me, and went back to sleep. @##*#&(*#
I ALSO WANT TO SLP BACK ONE!!! But if I were to do that he no need to pee for the rest of the day liao (Because he only do his business outside).

- Feed him his medication

(Ok, I don't know how to force feed dog despite watching like 10 over tutorials in you tube, ya la, I very kiasi I scared they will bite)

so papa found a way to wrap the pills in chicken liver and feed tui like treat.

And that became my father's job. HAHAH.

- After work rush home to bring him for his 2nd pee/poo session.

Papa and mama tried to bring him down. MY HEART ALMOST STOP WHEN THEY TOLD ME AFTER I GOT HOME.

They never ask my permission nor inform me before doing that!! luckily nth happen.

Appreciated the kind thoughts and action but no thanks. My mum only brought him down for 2 minutes LOL. Bcos she scare he run away. YA U ALSO KNOW.

the first day I came home from work he was so happy to see me that he came pouncing on me :)

2nd day onwards the reaction lesser and lesser. idiot.

one evening as I opened the door, I saw a happy family (2 humans one dog in the middle) watching TV together in the living room. And 3 of them turned over to look at me when I stepped into the house. Such sweet moments~

It was a Friday night so we decided to go for even longer walk..

TAMPINES!!

You know, he wasn't really this cooperative when comes to taking pictures.

Its the power of dog treats!

We walked past the temple, bedok reservoir, along the ulu ulu road and tampines safra and TADAH!

Our destination:

Damn awesome place to chill with him.

Ample space to let him walk on long leash and to run about.

Not much humans too.

Only negative incident:

An uncle on a bicycle came over and talked to me. I thought he was interested to know more about dogs but no! He offered me a cigarette and force me to accept it. TMD. Im not a young girl anymore, go and die please. CRAZY.

I put my dog and bite you then you know!!

Managed to run off after I find that he is really tiko and weird.

Little children, please listen to your parents and teachers when they ask you not to talk to strangers.

Should they really try to do anything funny, especially tikopeks, KICK THEM IN THE BALLS!!!

My dog can run very fast one!! Although he look slightly overweight.

He will camp there and hunt you down!

Eh, I didn't forget his well being hor, his water bottle seemed small, but I have another bottle supposingly for myself which he end up drinking most of it.
