Don't wait no more..

If some of you haven't know, my BF Mr Tui had went for home stay some 2 weeks ago and so far, have yet to be returned to the shelter, so I guess more or less he had been successfully rehomed.
(Like finally after a few false alarm over the year, I have to constantly prepare myself for this type of goodnews/badnews).

Yenyen went for homestay too, and I guess she is staying there for good as well..

For the past 1-2 months I didn't had much chance to interact or walk him due to reasons like new comers joining our small family (and he & yenyen are those few which are easier to walk), and then I took up rehab for the trios thus more time were put in for rehabilitating them, by the time im done, im too tired to play with Tui, then came distemper case which causes us to stop pack walk for the whole month...

One fine Saturday (towards the end of the quarantine period for distemper which we set), I decided to ask Tui's rescuer for permission and just bring him out for a walk on my own.
 No more waiting, no more letting others to walk him even thou I wanted to walk him very much. I have been waiting for this day for so long, the previous time I came down during a weekday, another batch of volunteers brought him out already :/ ..

So its just a ME AND TUI time again!

Jeanine, Joei, Wei jie and Des happened to go down to shelter that day, all planning to OTOT and bring one of their fav dog out and so we had a mini pack walk to Harlus :)

The moment I took out the collar and call for him, he will run towards me and give a super happy face :D *Coco now also same pattern as him haha*

Words cant express the happiness in me as I walk side by side with him..

And he is by far, the only dog that has such a great chemistry with me I guess no other dogs can replace that..

Its a long walk, but you know when you cherish the time with the important ones, time seems to pass faster. I have planned to camwhore with him till gaogao cause I know I wont have much chance to do that and so I spammed ALOT of pictures with him that day.

We run at almost the same speed (ok lah, maybe he can win me ABIT) , but we out of breath at almost the same timing also haha.

But if you really want to know, its because I really have no time to take care of him should I bring him home..
Neither do I have car to bring him around..
Sigh, and if only I have a big big house for him to run about..

I wish/hope/pray he will be treated well in his new home, and I wish/hope/ pray that they will love him for who he is.. Not to use him as some guard dog for snakes etc..

Moral of today's blog post is..
Don't take things for granted. Cherish every moment you have. And if you really want to do something, try to do it ASAP because you dont know whats gonna happen the next minute. Be it family, friends or something/someone you love. They wont be always there waiting for you..


YES Im sad, but the first reaction I had when I heard about his adoption news is:
HENG AHHH!!! I managed to spend quality 4-5 hrs with him just 2 days before he got adopted without me know in advance..
& im very glad that I did not wait any longer to do that. If not I will be living with full of regrets now..
The only thing that I feel wasted is that I have yet to bring him home for one day, I managed to get permission from my parents to bring him back for one day (after bugging them for the longest time), but sadly, he got adopted before I can do that.

Well.. at least I brought him for a long long walk

Exploring Api Api Route

THE API API WAY

Another usual shelter day where we will bring our furkids for a walk.

Everyweek we took turns to oversleep, guess everyone is too tired.

This week, Hazel's rescuer hui yi joined us together in the pack walk. Hongwee and Marvin stayed back with cesar soo to walk our 'unwalkables' - girlgirl, chilli, tux and hazel.

Its their first/ second time on leash and Im surprised that they are at pet movers when we returned to kennel. not very sure about the whole process thou.

At the other end, the 8 of us ( Me, No fren lynn, ann, weijie, yanda, richard, gilbert and huiyi) are on our way to Pasir Ris Park..

Junior got the 'Most lousy stamina' award, he stopped and lie down at every bus stop we passed by.

It was a nice cooling place, except the fact that we might be the brunch of the mozzies there. It leads to the park as well, with a shorter route.

Tui wasnt very nice to Guinness and keep growling at him.

While I was feeding Tui, Guinness was too into the food that I was holding, being so tam jiak he came over and tui jus went bonkers. Aiya cant help, both guys fighting over me *bu hao yi si*.

This Tui ah, I tried elbowing him and beat his backside and nothing works. Have to stand up, hold the pvc pipe infront of him and scold him before he stop. The next second, keep sticking his fat ass to me and i kept pushing him away. Bad behavior = no reward

(Reward =  me hugging him haha)

when we were leaving, Yenyen play dead with her four legs hanging above the air and refused to move. Super epic, passerby also stopped to look at this fat dog.

Rested and went back before it start pouring- look at the sky...

the weather was rather good when we are walking over.. Everyone swopped dogs aNd I got back Guinness 💖, Lynn got back Junior 💖. The journey back was very long.. Junior was foaming (not a special sight) hahahah and he is walking super fast in order to reach home earlier.

On the way home (Shelter) ~

A proper packwalk - one straight line with dogs at your side or behind you.

It is always safer to grip the leash of your dog firmly, be it a zen dog or high energy dog because you never know what might trigger them to ki siao. E.g for Tui and yenyen, their trigger point is Cat). I was walking Guinness infront the rest when opposite can another group of Vollies from other shelter.As taught, we have to keep our dogs by ourside and pass each other human to human.. Guinness was good until he suddenly jumped into the passing dogs. Luckily i was able to pull him back immediately and continue walking.. Phew. Think if I was wearing slipper or not gripping hard enough, I will either fall or a dog fight might occur.

Back in the shelter its bathing time, so everyone Fen gong he zuo.

His skin problem is getting better..

 Bathed Guinness and i was praying he dun snap and me when I shower his head -_-" cause he hates it and give me the side stare when I want to wash his head.

Was having tummy ache and I went to the toilet for the first time in shelter. Was praying that no one is using, and lucky enough it was empty. But! the lights are not working T_T But emergency I got no choice. It was almost pitch black when I close the door, to be frank Im quite scared but i told myself: If here got ghost, also ghost of dogs right? Nth to be scare nth to be scare... and i chiong out once im done :X

CUTENESS OVERLOAD:

Went back to block 4 and there was 3/4 new pups in the kennel.

One pup especially look like Handsome with floppy ears.

 

He's sooooo cute.. And i love the baby milk smell on him before I bath him. He was struggling a little intially but settle down soon after. Good boy!

Another pup is like a smaller version of muddie, shameless but cute. It loves to poke its face in my phone. so curious abt everything.
