Our Shelter Dogs: The Forgotten Ones

Often than not, these few mutts here are prone to be forgotten by us as they are way toooooo quiet and shy.

Nevertheless, they played a significant role in our shelter lives.

Meet JINGLE the shy girl and MOMO the emo dog

JINGLE

- A Small to medium size brown mongrel
- Floppy ears and small body frame
- Loves to jump on you together with the naughty ones when you just entered the kennel but once you start noticing her and walk towards her, she will run away to hide and will stay inside forever (so kiampa)
- Have not gone out for packwalk before due to her nature. Hopefully once she has gone through rehab, she can come out of her turtle shell and enjoy the grass, breeze and sea with us
- Through the months, she did change for the better and now she will come to you for food and allow you to pat her at times. Better than nothing right

Too bad lah jingle, no one in the shelter has your photos, so you only got 2 photos of you taken by me. This shows that you are really forgotten by the rest. Fret not, I promise to take more pictures of you okie..

MOMO

- Ok, i think her name really suits her Emo character
- A mixture of dark colored patches and floppy ears
- Always had a bright yellow collar round her neck, contrasting from her dark coloured fur
- She may not be the best looking dog in the kennels, or some might deemed her to be ugly. Well, I cant deny that fact Lol.
Look at her compared to the others
- Momo always has that worried and sorrowful expression on her face. dont know what is she thinking or she is born with that face :/
- You can take pictures of her on 10 different session and it still ends up like, that:

- Reacts to her name but will choose to ignore you after that
- Snappy. Ya, emo momo isnt very friendly. If you try to touch her, she snaps. Only her rescuer and her little son is able to hug it.
- Fought with Tui on the first try out session. Tui bled, thus a scar on his nose now, as a human, the first conclusion will be 'poor tui, why momo so fierce...' Sorry lor, momo suffered more wounds than Tui >.<
- I tried hand feeding it treats and it will come forward. The only time she had a slight smile on her face :/
All in all, if you give her personal space she will not do anything to you lah. Thats why we tend to forget her existence at times.

Okay, Now for the special guest of this post:

TWINKLE!!

- Black medium size mutt with shiny coat and Floppy ears
- Super duper high energy, i think she is energizer operated
- One of the smartest in the pack
- Learnt how to sit in one/ two sessions thanks to the treats
- Extremely food motivated and will follow you every where you go, when you have food, of course.

- very jumpy, JUMPY AND JUMPY.
- she was one of the luckiest to get adopted by the 3rd or 4th session. Hmmm, should be enjoying her snooze in a cosy bed now

We still have more furry friends waiting to be blogged about! So check back more frequently okie?

Byeee!
